Hi my name is Pelar. Some years ago I saw a news story that caused me to take some action to do whatever I could to save children/ pets from dying the most horrible death; that of hyperthermia in summer months because someone left them locked in a car. Most of these people when interviewed after these incidents; will say they only planned on being gone for a few minutes but got distracted by a phone call; or people talking to them or whatever the reason the fact still remains that lives are lost every year. Dispite all warnings on the news it happens two much for me.
In 2004 I invented a device to sensor; alert and save lives called"childsafe" Through my patent process I began to advocate for the car companies to have a standard safety feature in cars to prevent these horrible deaths. I have also been in contact with other advoctes and inventors. There seems to be a common tread (no funding)?
Now it is the summer of 2008 and there has already been two pet deaths in the La area.Help is on the way in the form of California state university LA mechanical engineering department; who have taken on the the prototype building and testing.
Iwas fortunate enough to be chosen to work with the graduate students and the staff at the university, using my research as a basis for building "childsafe" and bringing my dream to fruition. All the blueprints, drawings and description will very soon be"childsafe".
I'm very happy for the once in a lifetime opurtunity given me buy this prestegious unniversity.
